STAR BIO DIESEL is a plant, which is native of South America and Africa. Initially, it was propagated by Portuguese sailors around the world. Historically, it is about seven crore years old. It can be cultivated any where up to a height of 3600 metres above sea level and it's commercial cultivation is recommended in rain-fed/drought-prone area where the seed yield as well as oil content is comparatively higher than in irrigated conditions. Jetropha oil is a real and cost effective substitute of Diesel oil. Due to it’s medicinal values, it is known as jetropha (Jet + trophe = Doctor + nutrition).
Bio-diesel is the name of a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources such as soybeans, sunflowers, canola, waste cooking oil, or animal fats. Bio-diesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with petroleum diesel to create a Bio-diesel blend. It can be used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines or oil-fired boilers or furnaces with little or no modifications. Bio-diesel is simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.
